Kyle sits down with Melanie Baux, Artistic Director of Swamp Donkey Musical Theatre, and Juleta Severson-Baker, the Director of The Spitfire Grill to talk about their upcoming production and what it means to put up a small town musical in a small town opening October 27th and running until November 4th.

The musical depicts the journey of a young woman just released from prison, who decides to start her life anew in a rural town in Wisconsin. She participates in a journey within the town toward its own tenuous reawakening.

S2E8 - Review - A Comedy of Tenors - Morpheus

Review

Opening Night - September 29, 2023

Running September 29 to October 7 A Comedy of Tenors is playing at the Pumphouse. Kyle Gould reviews his experiences in seeing the show, with favorable results.

Tickets: https://tickets.morpheustheatre.ca/TheatreManager/160/online?event=0

About the show: It’s 1930s Paris and the stage is set for the concert of the century – as long as producer Henry Saunders can keep Italian superstar Tito Merelli and his hot-blooded wife, Maria, from causing runaway chaos. Prepare for an uproarious ride, full of mistaken identities, bedroom hijinks, and madcap delight.  This farce brings us 4 of the same characters that you loved in Lend me a Tenor.

S2E7 - Review - Taylor's Version - DIY Theatre / Baker Miller Pink Theatre

Review

Opening Night - September 21, 2023

Running September 21 through September 24 at the Big Secret Theatre at the Arts Commons, you have limited opportunities to see Taylor's Version and you NEED to see this production. Whether you're a die-hard Swifty or have a passing interest in Taylor Swift's music, we were all young twenty-somethings sharing a love and passion for something in pop culture with close friends and as a result this production is a must see.

You really do need to see this production. It's absolutely worth it.

About A Comedy of Tenors: For the first time we are presenting a sequel. It’s 1930s Paris and the stage is set for the concert of the century – as long as producer Henry Saunders can keep Italian superstar Tito Merelli and his hot-blooded wife, Maria, from causing runaway chaos. Prepare for an uproarious ride, full of mistaken identities, bedroom hijinks, and madcap delight.  This farce brings us 4 of the same characters that you loved in Lend me a Tenor.

Taylor's Version Discussion

Kyle sits down with Cayley Wreggitt and Joy Robinson to discuss their upcoming production of Taylor's Version.

It’s a typical Tuesday night. Josie, Callie, and a reluctant Abigail are dressing up like hipsters, making fun of their exes, and adventuring through their happy, free, confused, and lonely love stories. And by the way, they’re going out tonight. (Taylor’s Version) joyfully indulges in the feminine to reveal that our guilty pleasures serve a more vital purpose than we give them credit. Part ode to female friendships, part Taylor Swift conspiracy theories, (Taylor’s Version) has something for non-Swifties and Swifties alike!

Tickets can be purchased here: https://www.artscommons.ca/whats-on/taylors-version
